Capacity varies depending on the event space and setup style. Please refer to our event packet for seated and standing capacities for each space, or contact our Events Team for recommendations based on your guest count.
Can the space be configured in different layouts?
Yes. Our floor plans are fully customizable to accommodate your event objectives. Marshall's Landing is especially well suited for cocktail receptions, banquet-style dinners, networking events, and corporate celebrations.
Are there breakout rooms or smaller meeting spaces available?
If your event requires breakout sessions or dedicated meeting rooms, we recommend WorkLife Meetings, conveniently located within The MART. Our team can help coordinate both spaces for a seamless experience.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking private events 3–6 months in advance, particularly for patio events and holiday celebrations. In-building catering orders should ideally be placed 2–4 weeks in advance, although we'll always do our best to accommodate shorter timelines.
Can I make changes after booking?
Final menu selections are due two weeks before your event, and your final guest count is due one week prior. Additional changes and date adjustments are subject to availability and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Do you host weekday corporate events?
Yes. We regularly host weekday breakfasts, lunches, happy hours, client meetings, networking events, and evening receptions for businesses throughout Chicago.
Is there a room rental fee?
Room rental fees apply only to events held in The Founder's Room or for full venue buyouts. The rental fee covers exclusive use of the event space.
Are there additional event fees?
Depending on your event needs, additional charges may apply for room setup, security, audiovisual support, staging, electrical services, or specialty rentals. Your Events Team will provide a detailed proposal outlining all applicable costs.
What deposit is required?
A signed contract and a deposit equal to 50% of the estimated event total are required to secure your reservation.
Do you provide catering?
Yes. Marshall's Landing provides all food and beverage service for events hosted within our spaces, including WorkLife Meetings.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. Our culinary team can accommodate most dietary preferences and allergies, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other special requests with advance notice.
Do you offer full bar packages?
Yes. We offer a variety of hosted bar options, including beer and wine packages, premium bars, signature cocktails, and customized beverage experiences.
What audiovisual equipment is included?
Events hosted inside Marshall's Landing include complimentary audiovisual capabilities, including wireless microphones and large display screens located throughout the venue.
Can additional AV services be arranged?
Yes. If your event requires enhanced production, staging, or specialty audiovisual equipment, our team can coordinate additional services through our preferred partners.

What happens if it rains during an outdoor event?
Every outdoor event includes a reserved indoor backup space sized appropriately for your group. If weather requires moving indoors, the final decision is made by 12:00 PM on the day of your event.
Can I use my own vendors?
Yes. While we maintain relationships with trusted vendors and are happy to provide recommendations, outside vendors are welcome with approval from our Events Team.
